Welcome to IBSTUDIO. By accessing our website, booking an appointment, or receiving any treatment, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Business Information
IBSTUDIO is a home-based beauty studio operating as a sole proprietor in Strand, Cape Town, South Africa. Services include (but are not limited to) facial waxing, brow & lash services, laser treatments, and non-medical aesthetic treatments.
2. Appointments & Bookings
All appointments must be booked in advance via our online booking system or approved communication channels.
Appointment times are reserved specifically for you. Late arrival may result in a shortened treatment time or cancellation.
IBSTUDIO reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for inappropriate behaviour, repeated no-shows, or non-compliance with these Terms & Conditions.
Please note: As full payment is required for all bookings, cancelled or missed appointments remain non-refundable.
3. Cancellation, Rescheduling & No-Shows
A minimum of 12 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
Cancellations or reschedules made within 12 hours of the appointment time will be recorded as a late cancellation.
No-shows (failure to arrive without notice) will result in being placed on a no-book list, preventing future bookings.
4. Payments & Pricing
All bookings, whether made via Setmore, WhatsApp, or in-person, require full payment in person at the studio before the client leaves. IBSTUDIO does not accept deposits and all payments are final. No online payment is required through Setmore.
Prices are subject to change without prior notice. The price charged will be the one confirmed at the time of booking.
Promotional offers or discounts cannot be combined unless stated otherwise.
5. Refund Policy
Due to the nature of beauty and aesthetic services, no refunds are offered on treatments already performed.
If you are dissatisfied with a service, please notify IBSTUDIO within 48 hours so the matter can be reviewed.
6. Medical Disclosure & Client Responsibility
Clients are required to disclose all relevant medical conditions, allergies, medications, skin sensitivities, pregnancy, or previous reactions prior to treatment.
IBSTUDIO is not responsible for adverse reactions resulting from undisclosed information.
Patch tests may be required for certain treatments and refusal may limit service availability.
7. Results Disclaimer
Individual results may vary due to skin type, lifestyle, aftercare, and biological factors.
No guarantees are made regarding specific outcomes.
Aftercare instructions must be followed to achieve optimal results. IBSTUDIO is not responsible for poor results due to failure to follow aftercare.
8. Age Restrictions
Clients under the age of 18 require written parental or guardian consent for treatments where applicable.
Certain treatments may be restricted to clients 18 years and older.
9. Health, Safety & Hygiene
IBSTUDIO maintains high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and professionalism.
Clients who appear unwell or have contagious conditions may be asked to reschedule.
10. Liability
All treatments are undertaken at the client’s own risk.
IBSTUDIO shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from treatments, except where required by South African law.
11. Photography & Marketing Consent
Before-and-after photos may be taken for record-keeping or marketing purposes.
Photos will only be used with the client’s consent and will never include identifying features without permission.
12. Privacy & POPIA Compliance
IBSTUDIO is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Client information is used solely for booking, communication, and service-related purposes and will not be shared with third parties without consent, unless required by law.
13. Changes to These Terms
IBSTUDIO reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time.
Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
